Space and setup
- A flat spot for the grill or cart, away from the house and anything that can catch fire
- A clear path from the street: measure your gate if a cart is coming
- Access to an outlet or let them know if they need to bring a generator
- A table near the grill for salsas and toppings if the taquero doesn't bring one
Rentals
- Tables and chairs: one seat per adult guest is a good target
- A canopy or tent for shade or rain
- Lights if the party runs past sunset
- Jumpers or games for kids
- Fans or misters in summer heat
Book rentals around the same time as the taquero. Popular weekends sell out.
Food and drinks the taquero may not bring
- Aguas frescas, sodas, water and ice
- Chips, snacks or appetizers for early guests
- Cake or dessert
- Plates, napkins and forks if not in the package
After the party
- Trash bags and a spot for full ones
- Containers for leftovers
- Cash for tips, if your quote doesn't include them
